A polar bear is forced to navigate a human world of tourists, wildlife officers, and hunters as its ancient migration collides with modern life. Narrated through the voice of an Inuit elder, this quietly devastating film leaves you wondering who truly belongs in this shared landscape. For thousands of years, polar bears have migrated along the shores of Hudson Bay in northern Canada. As the sea ice melts, the bears’ hunting grounds shrink, forcing them to wander closer to human settlements in search of food. A gorgeously photographed and poetic film, NUISANCE BEAR won the 2026 Sundance Film Festival’s Grand Jury Prize for Documentary.
